Tips

To make star anise tea, bring a mug’s worth of water to a boil in a teapot or kettle. Put a teaspoonful of star anise into a tea ball or place it directly into the tea cup. Pour boiling water over them in the cup. Allow the tea to steep for about five minutes. The longer you steep the tea, the stronger it will be. Drink it hot!

You can also create a nice herbal cocktail with star anise! Boil cinnamon in a water kettle for a minute, then infuse a teaspoonful of star anise in it! Add honey, let the mixture cool down, refrigerate, add ice, and enjoy!

Remember:  If you are ill or you have any health concerns, consult your health practitioner. Do not continuously drink the same infusion for more than ten days.

When you use herbal remedies, be aware that they can be extremely powerful, and should you have any side effects when taking these infusions, immediately stop using the herb and consult your health practitioner right away.
