Verbena is a genus in the family Verbenaceae. The majority of the species are native to the Americas and Europe. The leaves are usually opposite, simple, and dense. The flowers are small, with five petals, and borne in dense spikes.



Verbena is a wonderful semi-woody flowery plant which is famous for the flowers it produces which. The word verbena was coined out from the Latin word Verbena officinalis and it refers to sacred boughs and plants used in traditional medicine. This word was first used by the Romans and Greeks while performing their sacred rituals. This is used largely in Europe and China due to its varying effective and distinguishable properties

Verbana leaf tea has a floral and a woody smell with a very pleasant odor.

Verbana leaves tea have a restorative and sedative effect on people and it generally is preferred for stress relief, digestion, insomnia and also anxiety.






To make Vervana tea, bring one cup of water to a rolling boil, and then pour over the herbs. Cover to keep in the aroma and allow the tea to steep for three to five minutes.
